The Essence Of A King

A reflective piece on man living in his potential…

The King is all knowing. A true king does not confine his mind to incessant and distracting chatter that deters him from wisdom. A true king knows his worth and acts in accordance with this intricate knowing.

The King is all powerful. A true king does not negate his responsibility as a powerhouse of wisdom. A true king does not misuse his power, but rather embraces his gifts to serve and to give. However, never compromising his integrity.

The King is protective. A true king protects what he values and what is his. What is his is his inner kingdom. His inner domain. What is his is the manner in which he can choose to respond to life.

The King is curious. A true king is not arrogant enough to think he ‘knows’ it all. What he knows, he owns, what he does not he avidly seeks. This is one of his greatest super powers.

The King is a strong provider. A true king does not negate those in need, nor those who require his guidance. A true king has time for those I need. He realises the interconnectedness of life.

The King is a clear channel. A true king communicates openly, clearly, with discernment and with knowing. He expresses as he needs to, he is continent with his word and articulates only necessary communication.

The King is courageous. A true king is not afraid of effort. He is not afraid to explore the chasms of his own psyche, being and relationships.

The King is a believer. A true king carries intelligent hope. He carries such hope for a kingdom that he can be proud of. Particularly his inner kingdom. He believes in his capacity to grow.

The King is vertical. A true king has confidence in his actions, thoughts, and deeds. He stands by his decisions and owns his value and contribution.

The King is humble. A true king bathes in humility, does not gloat and does not emerge in to life or relationships from ego.

The King is kind and fair. A true king believes in equity, fair exchange and balance. From here, all may unfold as it must.

The King is present. A true king is aware of his world in all ways. A real king can be present, not at the expense of his own sanity, but he can see clearly the necessity to ‘play the long game’.

The King is patient. A true king can wait, yet take action as he needs to, when he needs to.

The King is collaborative. A true king can lean on his confidants, advisors, friends and beloved for insight, yet he is wise enough to make choices and take action as required.

The King is balanced. A true king strives for excellence in being, acting, doing and loving. A true king realises that the human being is multifaceted and from finding balance here we grow.

There is far more to the king than just this, but for now these virtuous characteristics and expressions will keep us engaged and curious.

One is always glad to be of service.

A Story Of Longevity & Respect

We become so fucking excited when we move in to a relationship. Our hormones go wild, any form of intelligence gets thrown out with the trash. We become primal, we go deep in to our physiology.

Of course there are times when there is a ‘soul recognition’, a ‘past-life’ connection and then it becomes more spiritual. As this phenomenological experience is rising, for many this form of deepened awareness in intimate relationship eludes us.

The Silent Killer

We all want love. We all wish to be deeply connected. Sentience, intelligence, wisdom permeates all of us.

This yearning to be seen and to belong, to feel intimate connection courses through the essence of all that we are, have been and will ever be.

Irrespective of ‘humaneness’, sentience wishes to expand through connected union.

To Avoid Is To Hide

How do we respond to ‘rejection’? How do we respond to being pushed away? What is happening in our minds, brains, emotional bodies and physiology when we are perceiving to be rejected…?

Better OUT than IN

My beautiful grandmother would tell me to never hold farts in. In Italian, she would say often “Always out, never in.” I remember this distinctly, and then she would burp and I would laugh hysterically. She was the best! I then would run around farting and get excited to go to the toilet haha! I now often think about the real life implications of ‘out’.

What Men Truly Desire From Women

I recall in my relationships I once demanded a great deal but wasn’t prepared to give. I was arrogant, entitled, and stubborn. This caused me to not only lack common relationship sense, but it also placed me spaces of resentment, projection, and blame.
